I Love You 03:34
There really are no words to explain how much I love you No melody so bittersweet to say I love you No mind to think, no mouth to speak, only me and I love you, how I love you I've been lonely for some time and I'll find my peace of mind but one thing remains unchanged and I know you feel the same so, let me get this through to you I love you
2.
Put on my coat, it's time to go Don't want to be late to miss the glowing morning dewey fountain Just as the dark begins to fade An orange hue seems heaven made Lit from behind the mountain Head on the western breeze Uncovered knuckles freeze Rushing across the bay Starting the day Breathing the pine's familiar scent Freshly cut grass with flowers bent from heavy tempest passing Waning to that aeolian sound Lifting my soul up from the ground Soothing and everlasting A blissful state of solitude can reconcile your heavy mood Focus on the horizon
3.
Dependent 03:40
Despite the potential of our being The human drama has it's way Unfolding down through generations Unstable mom, broken pop A burden building on your back Bound with choices other people made Through our dependency on others We try not to spoil our only chance of living, loving through enduring ungrateful friends, a whining spouse a menace growing in your house A restless fire raging from within our will to live There's a time to forgive and carry on

about

A songwriter’s closet has many skeletons of unfinished, unreleased material. We often revisit these songs and wish we could find the time to finish them. After all, some may be surprisingly good. The problem is that when we finally decide to overtake the work, we realize that we are not exactly the same person who wrote them ten or twenty years ago. It is very difficult to find the connection to the mood that initially created this material and follow it through.

I wrote these songs some twenty years ago. Some are more complicated and sophisticated compared to what I write today. Maybe I was trying too hard. They lean heavily on the “pop” side too. However, this early effort was my gateway to music production. I had songs and needed to do something with them, but I wasn’t good enough as a producer to meet the material’s potential. It just didn’t sound or feel “right”.

Anyway, better late than never, this is my “Old Songs Revisited Vol. 1” EP. Hopefully, there will be vol. 2,3,4…...
